Dell System Restore
Hi,
I have backed up files onto a partition drive and now want to restore to factory settings using Dell's PC Recovery. Can anyone tell me if this will delete all the files on the partition drive?

If the backup files are on a different partition, they should not should not be deleted, BUT, it's better and safer to use an external, or a second internal hard drive for any files and folders backups, you wish to save.

I agree with Shesagordie...Back up your files to another hard drive or sometype of removalable media. (ie dvd, flash drive, cd)

Thanks,
I was having a problem starting up - I think it may be because of some malware called Antivira AV (which I thought I'd got rid of).Startup repair did nothing and I couldn't start in safe mode and it wouldn't do a system restore so I decided I would try restoring to factory defaults. There's just a couple of files on there that I didn't get round to backing up onto an external drive before it happened so I was just wondering whether I could save them.
