Dell Tech Support

I have been trying to get a situation resolved with the tech support at Dell to no avail. I have been hung up on, lied to, told they would call back, told they ordered parts, would dispatch a tech to my home , sent software and parts. It has been horrible. I call them yesterday 5-14 since they didn't call me back as promised only to find that the tech only wrote that he reinstalled windows and resolved the problem. He mentioned nothing about the 5 hours on the telephone with me or the changing of the videocards 12 times by me or him messing up and me needing to reinstall windows 3 times or him getting the system to work for a minute only to stop again on start up. He also didn't mention that he did a check disk which took 9 houirs and totally disabled my system. The telephone call ended with the tech Limen and his supervisor May telling me that they were dispatching 2 new video cards and a new bridge along with some software that wouldn't install from before. Liman also stated that he would call on thursday the 14 between 1 and 2 pm pacific time to see if this fixed the ongoiing problem. He didn't list anything on his report so when I called back to give them a piece of my mind, I was shocked and put again into the limbo land where we redo everything that I have been doing since the 30 of April. Is this how Dell manages to stay on top with ratings. Lie and Cheat the customer. When I called the customer support number given to me from the last tech, I got Canada and was told to call another number since I was in the US. Upon calling this number, I told the person that I wanted to complain to someone and he hung up. I have spent over 15 hours on the telephone and have driven over 750 miles to  aid my son with this problem. I bought the computer and now I regret it. Can anyone tell me where to call to let someone who can make a difference know how messed up the system is. If I need to, I can write so if there is an address I'll take it. Thanks for reading. If you have a case, or reference number, you could contact Dell's 'Unresolved Issues' HERE.

I have done this 3 times already (another reason to complain) On May 11, 2009 (Monday) I received an email from them that stated within 4 business days (the 15th) I should get a call or something. Why do you think I am here. Thne system doesn't work and I have a warranty. I have been trying for 30 minutes to get another one sent but now ytour system is having issues. For your information, my case number is : <ADMIN NOTE: case number is removed per privacy policy> my express service number is <ADMIN NOTE: express service number is removed per privacy policy> the last service request number  issued on May 14 after the may 11 tech lied along with his supervisor) is service request number  <ADMIN NOTE: service request number is removed per privacy policy> . The number prior to that is service request number <ADMIN NOTE: service request number is removed per privacy policy>. This afternoon, I received another computer call telling me that there was an issue with the parts and I wqould not be getting them today as I had been told. You guys are priceless, perhaps you all should run for public office it can't get any worse. Call me to discuss <ADMIN NOTE: Phone number is removed per privacy policy> ( Idon't expect a call since no one knows how to fix this.) I want a new computer as stated by my warranty and due to the fact that I have done everything and dell cant do anything.

This forum is primarily a 'User to User' forum, not a 'User to Dell' forum, the forum members, including myself, [with the exception of the 'Dell Liasions'], do not work for Dell, they are people who volunteer their time, gratis, to help other members.

If you want Dell to call you, then you will need to contact Dell Technical Support directly.

Bev.

Ps. I have no ambition to run for any public office.

To add to Bev, this is a user-to-user forum with Dell moderators keeping an eye on that people don't become abbusive or break the rules.

With the problems you're having with support, I'd suggest to follow Bev's advise and use that link to see if you can get better assistance.
