Dell Wireless Keyboard "delay" typing

I have a dell wireless keyboard.  Daughter pushed held 'shift' key for a long time and now can not type normally.  Have to hold down each key for 1 or 2 seconds before it shows on screen.  Happens on all office programs and also outlook and internet.  How can I get it back to normal.  Thanks

1536ana, I too have the wireless (bluetooth) keyboard and mouse, but have not seen this problem (yet). I would suggest resetting the connection by pressing the button on the receiver (in the USB slot) and then the keyboard and mouse button.  Failing this, I would shutdown, remove the receiver, move it to another slot and boot, causing the system to "see" it in a different location and reinitializing it.

I don't know how long you've had your keyboard but I would check the battery.
Try not to use the dollar store batteries either, stick with duracell or energizers for longevity.
