Desktop PC Audio drivers

You may go to the Dell File Library and look up your specific desktop model and operating system and download the Dell OEM audio driver. But they are older than what is on the manufacturers websites. When troubleshooting any audio issue, you must re-install the system Chipset driver, restart the desktop, then re-install the Audio driver and restart the desktop.

Realtek HD Audio update
* Go here for the latest Realtek HD Audio driver
* Click "High Definition Audio Codecs (Software)"
* Accept the notice
* Click Next
* Look to the right of "64bits Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10 Driver only (Executable file)"
* Click the Global link
* The file will want to download. Tell it where to save the file so you can find it. I have Chrome set to download all files to my windows desktop
* Run the file. Follow the instructions and restart the system when done

Creative Software/Driver Auto-update

Dell OEM THX TruStudio
* Upgrade your Realtek audio drivers first from the Realtek site as seen above. Restart the computer and then install the THX Trustudio program.

Conexant Audio update
* I cannot find an auto-update for this onboard audio. So you will need to use the Dell File Library and look up your specific desktop model and operating system and download the Dell OEM audio driver.
