Dim. 4600 & celeron

Will a celeron work in a dim 4600 ?  I know that the intel 865pe chip supports the 400fsb , but dell doesnt show it supporting it ?  THANKS

Why would you want to put a Celeron processor in a machine the comes with a Pentium 4 running at 2.8g or faster? There isn't a Celeron that runs anywhere near that speed.

The 865PE chipset supports a 533MHz or 800MHz FSB, not the 400MHz FSB required to use a Celeron.
The following are the specifications for the D/4600

Maybe, it's because Dell have their motherboards made to their specifications and are not to a standard ATX format.
