Dimension D300 and Windows 2000
We recently upgraded a Dimension XPS D300 to Windows 2000. It was a new installation, reformatted HD. NT4.0 was the previous OS. I also upgraded the BIOS from A08 to A09. The configuration data was reset in the BIOS.
When the machine boots, it goes through the normal post routines and then starts W2K. As soon as the inital W2K bar graph (one comprised of vertical lines at bottom of screen) is 100%, the screen goes black and reboots. It does this every time.
Am I missing something in the BIOS? Thanks.

1.Make sure your system meets the minimum system requirements.
Your computer should meet the following hardware requirements:
133 MHz or faster Pentium-compatible CPU
64 megabytes (MB) of RAM minimum; more memory generally improves responsiveness (4 gigabytes [GB] RAM maximum)
2 GB hard disk space with a minimum of 650 MB of free space (additional free hard disk space is required if you are installing over a network)
2.Disconnect all external devices except your mouse, keyboard, monitor.
3.You may have a bad install, format the hard drive and install 2000 again.
