Dimension E310 Video Card

I just bought a 23" Dell widescreen monitor. After doing a search on this forum, it looks like I'm going to have to buy a new video card for my Dimension E310 to be able to enjoy the resolution. IIRC, it has an integrated video card. I thought that meant I could NOT upgrade? Wondering if I can actually upgrade the video, and just looking for a cheap video card that will work. Any and all help is appreciated!

I'd suggest an 8400GS-, 4350-, or 5450-based offering. All are low-power; the 8400GS is about half the price, but at the expense of much lower performance. The 5450-based cards are more powerful and feature onboard high-definition audio, so if your new monitor has built-in speakers you won't need a separate audio connection.

The Dimension E310/3100 has a 230w power supply and the motherboard only has PCI (NOT PCIx) slots. Go to this link to see the PCI video cards.

I decided to go with a Sparkle GeForce 8400GS 512MB that was suggested in another thread.  I guess we'll see how it goes.

I'm also going to upgrade from 1MB to 2MB RAM.
