Dimension L1000R PCI Controller Help

I have upgraded my Dimension L1000R from the Dell supplied Windows Me to Windows 2000 Pro.  When I was finished the Device Manager has 2 Exclamation Points they both say no driver found for the PCI Simple Communications Controller and for the Ethernet Card (the dell supplied D-Link card).

I think the Ethernet exclamation point is a product of the PCI Controller exclamation point since it's a PCI card.

Where can I get the PCI Controller driver that’s compatible with 2000 Pro?  I also have the ability to upgrade to Windows XP Pro if that would be an easier fix.

I checked Dell Download but I’m not sure which drivers would help. Maybe the Bios but I need help.

Thanks

dsmalley13,

The PCI controller is the V.90 modem in the system.  Your system came with a separate driver CD for just the modem.  It most likely has the Windows 2000 drivers on it already.  If not, reply back here with the model or the part number from the modem and someone will be able to point you to the correct driver for it.

The D-Link PCI network card also came with it's own driver CD and it should contain the driver needed for your NIC.  If not, reply back here with the model number of your D-Link card and someone will be able to point you to the correct driver for it.
