Dimension XPS450 Ram Problem

On a Dimension XPS450 with 256mb Ram and running Windows ME, My Ram keeps disappearing. Don;t know what's eating it up, but it's gone. The only programs tha are running on boot are, Zone Alarm Free Edition, AVG free edition. Panicware pop-up stopper free edition and thats all. When I first boot up, I have 92MB memory available, as the computer just sits there doing nothoing, It will drop down a little at a time until it reaches 200KB. I run "Ram Clean" which frees some up temporarily, but it starts all over again. Anyone know what could be eating up the memory ?   I checked for Ad/Spyware, Viruses, Trojans and everything checked negative.

I presume you're also checking system resources?

Don't put any faith in those "RAM cleaner" utilities. They're all bogus, and many of them are spyware.

Yes, System resources are usually at 68% or higher.

I'd bet dollars for donuts you've got something nepharious going on. You should really post this in the Windows-older versions forum. But consider running HiJackThis and see if anything unusual pops up.
