Driver problems for Dimension 2400

Hi,

Contracted an ugly Trojan, had to re-install XP on my machine - rescued some files but not any of my drivers. My machine is out of the boxwith no upgrades, but since the reinstalationreinstallingI've been unable to get the internal modem detected or running. I'm currently connecting using an old external one I had lying about, but obviously that's not ideal. Could someone please tell me which download I need from the drivers area?

Many.thanks

Try this link for drivers.  Be sure you load the chipset drivers first before the other device drivers.

You can download and save to a disk or a flash drive if you have one.

Hope this helps.

Since all possible drivers are listed in the download area for your computer, you must determine which ones apply. No one here can tell you what you need. Belarc Advisor might help identify the hardware you have. http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html Dell's support site also has a Original/Current configuration utility that you can use with your service tag.

Added note. Click on the tab at the top of this posting "Technical Support" and then click on the "Original Configuration" Put in the service tag number and you will  see all components originally installed in your system. That is unless you have added or removed any components since you purchased your system.
