If your computer is out of warranty, Dell will charge you for Technical Support.
Do you have Vista, or XP installed in the e310?

The Ctrl F11 just does not do anything, that is basicilly what the link you suggested said to do.
I was hoping for a different key combo that is not documented,
Will tech support tell that if I asked? or will they just not talk to me about a system that is out of warranty?

Unless you can repair the Dell's PC-Restore using the procedures HERE, then the best you can do, is to perform a clean reinstall of XP.

I think you are correct. I am just miffed that a restore partition is sitting out there and I can not access it. It seems as if Dell should make it more accessable but I guess I have to earn my keep another way. Even though I am a certified Dell Tech both laptop and desktop.
Thanks for taking up time for my situation, I hope I can return the favor in the future.
Thanks again

Are there any Material benefits from having over 100,000 points?
I am sure you can not make a living on here, smile

Chris.
Dell Customers can request a set of backup discs containing the factory installed operating system as well as the device drivers and utilities specific to your system from HERE.

Chris.
As far as I know, there are no value to the points, material or otherwise. :emotion-2:
