EBAY Purchase

My father-in-law is considering purchasing a PC * BRAND NEW, FACTORY SEALED! * it says it include Dell's warranty . We currently live in Minnesota.  He wants to know if the warranty can be transferred and secondly will they allow him to purchase an extended warranty past the 1 year initially provided?

When you buy a computer on eBay, it's "Caveat Emptor".  The seller will have to transfer the warranty to your father-in-law and you can extended the warranty.

For more information and the cost, you can call Dell's Extended Services [WARRANTY] department @ 1-877-585-7477 [Mon. - Fri. 8am - 10pm, Sat. 10am - 8pm, Sun. 10am - 6pm EST].

My advice on a purchase this big, go the the Dell refurb site and pick the comp you want, its new condition, has everything you want in it, factory warranty, and many other advantages, then you know who to call if something should go wrong. The savings are better than you'll get on ebay and have piece of mind.

I have bought several dells on the refurb site. They have been positive experiences, and the items were like new.

Coupon sites to look at.....You can get a good deal from time to time using a coupon or waiting for a Dell promotion.  I don't like E-Bay.  Too many chances.
