Error: Application Management service terminated..

Here's the error I've been getting since practically Day 1 with my system: "The Application Management service terminated with the following error: The specified module could not be found." The source of this error is the Service Control Manager. The problem does not interfere with with my work on the computer but I'm merely curious as to why it occurs at all.

Since I had installed no programs on my computer prior to this recurrent error message, I'm mystified.

If needed, I can post the specs of my system, but it's the basic 4500 running WinXP, with Office XP SBE, with the NVidia GeForce 3 200 card with DVI.

Any input would be very valuable & much appreciated.
