Factory HD Partitions Question
My Inspiron 3647 desktop (Win 8.1) hard drive came from the factory with 4 partitions: an EFI system partition,an OEM partition, a Recovery partition, the Windows partition, and a second Recovery partition.
I understand the EFI, Windows and Recovery partitions but can someone tell me what the OEM is for and why there are 2 Recovery Partitions??

There are MSR and OEM and Recovery and RECOVERY partitions.
The OEM partition is tiny 40 Meg and has the Pre boot diagnostics.
The Recovery partition is 350 to 500 megs and is installed regardless as is the MSR and EFI.
The RECOVERY partition is 7 to 16 gigs and has the factory erase everything restore image.
