GeForce 6

I can't wait for this one...will nVidia retake the crown with a fury?  Looks like they will:

What a killer card.

Also, check out these benchmarks:

agree. nvidia,s 6800 ultra does look promising, only wish high end video cards were cheaper. have heard that the 6800 ultra will be $400 or $500 - ouch

However, one of the only ways to compare future data is on the past.  Showing benchmarks mean nothing if there is nothing to compare to.  The fastest card to benchmark is the 9800xt, therefore, comparatively, the benchmarks show how much faster this new card will be.  It is a given that this card is considerably faster than our fastest cards now, but since ATI hasn't shown anything in response, those marks are all we have to go on so far.

the comparison is sort of unfair on ait,s part, since they don,t compare the ati offering coming out soon. not sure if the 6800 ultra will be enough ,   the ati r420 xt may be faster from what i have read.. nvdia r40 lack of clock speed -400mghz- may not be enough to surpass the atis 500 mhz + speed.

Might as well take out a mortgage on the house in order to buy the card.  I will stick with the midrange cards for the time being.  I don't need rediculous fps, I just need something that will run pretty smooth.  I'll pass since I got a great deal on my 5700ultra.

hate spending over $250 for a card, though i did on the ati 9800 pro. should have waited , they are now getting cheaper.  still running a geforce 3 and geforce 4 ti-4400 on 2 of my rigs, see no need to upgrade. they are leadtek cards and work great. see ya

Who are we kidding, both new flagship cards are going to be rediculously fast and will make our games look glorious. I think the only people who will need this kind of juice are the die-hard HL2 and Doom3 guys.

True....but I'm gonna be coming around to that "need a new computer" thing soon...heheh

I should ebay this one for 1000 bucks and include the monitor, keyboard, mouse and throw in a few games.

Put that towards a new system.
