Graphics Card Problems

My graphics card malfunctioned a few months ago. I called support, followed their tests and instructions, but still I get artifacts and other graphical glitches in my 3D programs. The issues usually start after the card has been running for some time. I also have an odd noise that seems to be emanating from the card. I simply want a replacement sent as soon as possible, as my school work involves rendering 3D images. Can anyone help me solve this issue?

You'll need to post a great deal of details about your machine.  If you want to make that easy, go to Lavalys and install Everest Home v2.20 .  Run the Full Report Wizard, save it as HTML, and post what you feel are the pertinent sections on your system (processor, motherboard, graphics card etc)

I have a Dimension 8400, 3.2 Ghz, 1 Gig RAM, 256 Mb GeForce 6800, 80 Gig Hard Drive, if I need to provide any other info, let me know.

Sounds like the fan on the graphics card is failing. You'll have to contact Dell Tech Support for a replacement. This forum is only for users helping othe users. Aside from Moderators, Dell doesn't read the forums.
