GX1 - plug and play configuration error.
I recently purchased a used Optiplex GX1 (small form factor) to use as an internet gateway/firewall.
It worked for a couple of days but now I am getting the following error: "Plug & Play Configuration Error" before it even boots any operating system.
I've searched around the forums and have tried doing a BIOS reset by turning on scrlock, capslock, numlock while in the BIOS and pressing ALT+F then ALT+E. This seems to work as the settings do get reset.
--However, I am still getting this error. I tried to flash from A07 to A10, and even downgrading to older versions like A04. The only thing I haven't tried is replacing the CMOS battery, would this be worthwhile? I don't get the erorr when I have no PCI cards plugged into the riser, but I've tried 3 NICs, a modem, and a sound card and I still get this error. Is there a plug and play configuration menu that I can get into?
