GX150 - Blue Screen Error on Boot!!!

Question

Hey I have a Gx150 here with a blue screen on boot with error - 0x000000C2 Bad Pool Caller - Ive tried to boot off the CD but once windows setup finishes loading up I get the same screen.

Any Ideas?

What version of windows is installed on the system? You may want to test the hardware of the system with the Dell customer diagnostics that came with the system on the drivers and utilities CD. You will need to boot the system with this disk to run the tests. If no hardware failures are indicated then the problem is most likely software. What was added removed or changed on the system prior to the onset of this problem?

It is a WIndows 2000 Machine, I will try that Diagnostic CD.

Still not working, I tried to use a boot disk to FDISK and Format the Harddrive and it still doesnt work, I dont have the Diagnostic CD here for the GX150. ANy other Ideas?

Unplug all add on devices and memory and try to start machine with just 1. 1 stick of memory 2. 2 sticks of memory etc....

I had one exactly like this. The power supply was bad.

You can buy a standard ATX12V 300 watt or better supply and PLUG into the board and try it but it wont fit in the case. Its worth borrowing one from someone to test. The GX150 doesnt suffer from the proprietary pinout that the GX1 and GX110 etc have.

PC power and cooling make custom units for Dells.
