H2C Maintenance?
I've been doing some reading on cooling systems. It seems every aftermarket company mentions that the system should be cleaned and refilled annually, at least.
When I ordered my 720 H2C, I mentioned this to Dell... they told me that the coolant system is sealed and does not require maintenance. How does Dell accomplish this?
If this isn't true, where can I find the documentation on the coolant type and recommended maintenance?

Apparently its true, sort of. Its made to go 7 years I think without maintainance and after that requires replacement, I don't own one but thats what I've heard. Its worth noting that the cooling unit on the H2C is fairly small in scale compared to build-your own systems (its not less effective, just smaller), which often have bulky external reservoirs and feet of tubing. Heres a 'ThermalTake Bigwater' cooling setup...
Heres dells H2C unit:
...Considerably simpler in terms of scale at least. I'm suprised we havent seen more of these kind of units available yet but maybe in time we will. I know one problem a lot of TEC watercoolers (thats what the H2C is) suffer from is evaporation of the really hot fluid and condensation of the really cold fluid which is why they need constant fidling and attention. But dell put A LOT of work into making a cooler that minimises these things. For example i understand the TEC unit (which is what cools most of the fluid) is actually regulated to not drop below 20 degrees C (they actually heat up the cooling block) which prevents the fluid from condensing/freezing around the sub zero TEC plate, especially after startup when the CPU is quite cold, fluid hasn't warmed up yet but the TEC unit is almost instantly freezing cold.
