Your queastion doesn't really make sense. Hard disk is a term used for Hard Drive. Like Hard Disk Drive. That is the hard drive. Inside the hard drive there are cylinders..

So Hard Drive AKA Hard Disk AKA Hard Disk Drive. Same thing.
