Help-need help with screen resolution!!

Hi there..i re-installed windows yesterday (due to problems i was having with all the junk on my computer) and i found the proper downloads to get sound, but not screen resolution.  My pictures are HUGE and i can't get the entire page on the monitor.  When i go into "display" it only allows Medium 16 bit resolution.  Even when i try to click on "monitor" it won't allow any other options than the default ones that are set.  I went into the dell website and downloaded all the possibly devices for "display" and it still is not working.  I have no cd's that will help me with this either. Any help is greatly appreciated!  I have a dimension 2300.....thank you!!!

Find out what video card you have and download the drivers for that card.

Go back to the Dell download site, page down to Video Adapters, and download the drivers for the video adapter you have on your computer (you seemed to be able to do this for Displays, but you were looking in the wrong place).

Ok CLICK ON YOUR START BUTTON AND OPENCONTROL PANEL AND DOUBLE CLICK ON SYSTEMS THEN CLICK ON HARDWARE TAP THEN ON DEVICE MANAGER THAN DOUBLE CLICK ON DISPLAY ADAPTERS AND IT SHOULD TELL YOU WHAT ADAPTER YOU HAVE.

HOPE THIS HELPS
