help with recovery partition
I had to delete my recovery partition today my whole system was hosed (xps 630) I was able to back up the recovery partition before I formated the harddrive. After I reinstalled vista I made a new partition called recovery and made it 10gb like the old one and replace the files. When I accessed the recovery partition before I just pressed f8 when the pc booted up and a new window poped up saying (rapair pc). But I no longer get the option to repair the pc when I hit the f8 at boot up, is there any thing I can do to get my pc to see the recovery partition again?
Thanks for any help

Long thread here on how to recover the original F8 system recovery option - lots of info and options in there, so read the whole thing through.

However, you may still be able to access and restore the partition manually booting into system recovery from the Vista DVD - might work as long as the partition's intact:

Strictly FYI from me - I'm still on the low end of the learning curve on this stuff.
