Hello my question is can u add any psu to a dell ?

Not just any PSU, and it very much depends on which model system you have.  Since you haven't told us (at least in this message) which model computer you have.  It is impossible to answer.

Hi there Blade, I just bought a new power supply for my Dell 8100 because mine was humming. I also wanted more watts. I got the Silencer Ultra-Quiet Power Supply 410 ATX for Dell PC's from PC Power and Cooling Inc. Go to www.pcpowercooling.com.
 
Their products seems to come highly recommended. The power supply for a Dell is a proprietary unit but this company makes one that fits Dell pc's..
