I love Dell!

I have a feeling that my new Xps 435MT is going to last just as long if not longer than my Dimension 8200 did ( 10 years ). The 10 GB of memory and 2.93 Ghzs  Processor  keeps the computer purring like a kitten. Anyone considering buying this work of art, Please dont hesitate. Also, To all the XP groupies, Please do not fear Windows Vista. Vista runs smoother than XP and is twice as fast. This is a great operating system. All in all, Dell and Vista is a win , win combination..

Peter915,

Thanks. We do not see positive post out here very often.

Well since my last post many months ago was a grumpy tirade about the new forums (boy I must have been in a mood that night), I would like to post something nice for my return and echo Peter915's praise.  My current Dell (my fourth) is going to be 4 years old next month, and she still runs like new... it's been a rock-solid system.  I upgraded to Vista as soon as it was released, and I couldn't be happier with it.  However, I am looking forward to upgrading to Windows 7... just because I like to upgrade.  :emotion-1:  I already have the Windows 7 Release Candidate running as a Virtual Machine under Vista using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007, and I'm looking forward to doing a full Windows upgrade when the final release comes out.  I plan on adding a couple more Gigs of memory (10 Gigs... nice, Peter915!), and probably upgrading my video card as well sometime this year... but otherwise I expect my current system to last for many more years.

Kudos, Dell... you truly don't get enough praise in here.

Jeff

It's nice to see a positive post.  I have 7 Dell pcs that range from over 2 years old to 3 months old (oldest is the 1705, newest are the Mini 9s).  All get used almost everyday for all kinds of applications, whether it's gaming, surfing, video streaming, email, photoshop projects, movie maker projects...and they have all worked wonderfully well.  No video, overheating, keyboard, memory, operating system issues.   They just work.  So I too love Dell.

I also like my Toshiba (that is over 2 years old and it's running perfectly fine also) but this isn't a Toshiba website.

I do understand that people will have problems with their computers, as that happens with all products purchased.  Some work fine, others not so fine.  That's life.

It's good to see people that are not having computer issues add a comment.

Understanding that most people posting here are having some problems and aren't in the best mood.

I've been using Dell computers at work and home for +15 years and they are simply great. My 530s is running excellent, and the (welcome to 64bit) Studio 1737 has been fantastic, have found that it exceeds my expectations and am looking forward to my next Dell.

I held off from Vista for the first couple of years but would never go back, it's been great for me.

Also am enjoying this forum, only recently started using it. Should have took notice sooner, it's got extensive information and some excellent members and helpful staff.

I agree, Dell doesn't get the credit it deserves! Sure a few customers will have to come here problems, but those that don't need to post here just the same! I still couldn't be happier with my Dell Dimension 2400 Desktop! It works great for pretty much anything I want to do and the only "upgrade" was adding a 1GB stick of memory.

However, with the new Inspiron 537 desktops out, and Windows 7 fever all over the web, I'm thinking its a great time to upgrade to a new OS and a new generation of computing.

I too have much praise for Dell. My current home PC is a Dimension 9150, which is my muse. It is four years old and therefore out of date but she's my little beauty. I think the Dimension 9000+ were the steadiest, most reliable machines ever.

However, I feel I need to go a step further. The technical sevice people have always been fantastic and I have found these forums a fabulous place to learn and correct problems, even though it's been a little more difficult with the Dell Optiplex problems I am currently suffering.

I will be buying Dell in the future. And a thank you to everybody who deals with the customers and problem solving issues.

I agree with you guys. Dell really deserve much more praises. I love Dell from the bottom of my heart too.Affordable, customizable, upgradable, decent design. What else could anybody possibly ask for a "personal computer"??!!! I have a Dell XPS 1330 and I love it to death.lol. When it first came out I dreamt about it since it was too expensive for me. Once i got a hold of a refurbished one from  Dell Outlet, I was so happy. Been 3 years, even though I upgraded its components like cpu, ram, blutooth, and battery, the laptop itself still runs strong and smoothly. Gotta say that nowadays, HP, Vaio design generally look more attractive than Dell, but they cant beat Dell at affordability and customizabilty. And frm my exp, Toshiba is nowhere comparable to Dell. They r always more expensive, heavier, and bulkier! As for desktop, I built my own, but i know many of my friends are not any happier with their Dells'. Hek, not just computers, I love Dell "toys" too. Got a beautiful 24" Dell HD LCD monitor and a Dell Bluetooth keyboard+mouse combo. Yep, best Bluetooth keyboard+mouse combo ever bcoz of price and functionality.I LOVE DELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
