I need driver info
Hello, I have a dell dimension xps d300, Pentium II processor (333Mhz) 64mb RAM(i know...its low)that had windows 95 but i installed windows xp on it because win95 dont support wireless. Since the pc had a 6gb hdd, i replaced it with and 80gb western digital. everything is up and running great and i have more RAM on order but i feel like my chipset driver is not updated and i cannot find what i think i need after scouring the internet. everything i find is in relation to pentium II and win95, not pentium II and winXP. I did find one page that might be what im looking for in the link below. any help is appreciated.

Hi Outburst,
Wow, in which archeological dig did you discover this system? :emotion-3:
Anyway, there are two possibilities. One is that you do not need a chipset driver. When XP came out, they provided support for many older chipsets. One way you'll know is whether your integrated systems, like USB, parallel and other ports, were recognized after the installation.
If you do need a chipset driver, you're probably stuck using the Intel driver.

thanks for the reply, OSPREY4, that artifact came out of my attic...lol...the pc runs fine its just that the pc monitor has a smearing type effect and from previous experience anytime i updated the chipset driver it cured the problem...the display adapter in device mgr says all is ok...it is STB velocity 128....which im not sure if that is a default driver or what......I assume the intel driver u spoke of is the one already installed....if u know of where i can get an updated driver please tell me.
