I'm really worried.

I have always thought that my Dell System has been underperfroming. This is because in most games my FPS go much lower thna they should. Games such as Quake III see my FPS go to about 80 in extreme action. With UT2003, my FPS sometimes average at about 40, and go as low as 20! Evidence of my ssytem underperforming is a Quake Timedemo where I only get average 220FPS, and similar ssytems get over 300FPS. That's very worrying.

The thing is, in 3DMark2001SE, my score is okay. I score 12613 with NVIDIA's newest drivers. I can't actually keep these drivers on though, none of the 4x.xx drivers that is, as whenever I try to play a DVD with them installed I get a Error which asks me to send an error report. This is why I believe I may have a serious driver problme which is seriously effecting my games. I am currently using the 30.87 drivers.

This isn't a problem that I have only just come across. I've always thoguht my ssytem has been underperforming since I first got it. I've been trying to fix the problem for months now, talking to loads of other message boards. It can't be the fact that Dell sytems perfrom worse than other sytems with same specs can it?

Basically, to sum up my post, my system is perfroming worse than it should be in 3D games. No one has ever been able to quite give me the answer - most people say I'll need to do a complete reinstall of sytem or reformat. Comments anyone...
