Interactual Player 2.0 Error Message

Question

I just added a DVD player to my Dell 8200 computer.  The dvds without this Interactive Player work.  The rest require that I add this software to view the DVD.  When I do this I get the error message: Playback failed due to a problem with video subsystem.  Lowering your screen resolution or color depth may fix the problem. I lowered my screen setting to 800 x 600 and colors to 16 without results. What can I do about this problem and how do you run these DVDs without this stupid Interactive Player?
