Internet Explorer Error Message

I have a sneaky feeling that Internet explorer is trying to look for an off-line page which is also possibly the same page as your 'home' page, and hence it is looking on the C drive.

Log on to the net, click on home, and then try and save this page for viewing off-line. You should no longer have this problem.

I hope this solves the problem, now I just need to solve my IRQ USB problem.

Thanks for your suggestion, however it did not solve the problem. IE doesn't allow us to view any web page whatsoever. Pressing home or typing in any webpage address will just refresh that error message. Any other suggestions?

While I don't have an answer for your problem, it appears that it is a known problem: see

They reference almost the exact problem that you have. Their solution isn't very satisfying, though.

This is very likely due to the fact that an internet connection is not present, or there is a problem with your internet configuration. This can also be the result of a mistyped URL, as this error indicates that the server cannot be found.

If you are sure that the URL you are attempting to access exists, you should contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) for assistance with troubleshooting your connection.
