Irfanview Features Grayed Out?

to resize images, press CTRL+R in irfanview. most of the options are disabled because you didn't choose an "area" of the picture to work with.

Thanks for the reply Fratboy, but that didn't work. (The dropdown under Image that shows the Resize - Ctrl+R is one of the many that are grayed out.) How do I choose an area to work with? Actually, I want to "choose" the entire animated .gif in order to make the whole thing a little bit smaller.

I still can't figure out why so much is inactive in Irfanview, though. I looked everywhere to see if there's a pay version, which might explain some features being grayed out, but it sure looks like the whole thing is meant to be free. Weird, yes?

Anyway, GifWorks! seems to cover everything Irfanview lacks. Thanks, again,

Go Here to do the resizing of animated .jpg or .gifs http://www.gifworks.com/
If you have Paint Shop Pro 7 you can do it in the animated section. Infanview (at least mine) will not accept resizing of animation. I get the grayed are drop down box also.

i just try it. everything's greyed out. i guess this is some kind of a limitation.
