Keyboard Failure

Everyday when I start my PC, it does not detect my keyboard.  I unplug it and plug into a different USB and the problem is solved.  The next day, same problem.  It is not the USB port because I've been switching back and forth between the same two.  Any ideas on how to fix this?  I'm getting tired of crawling under my desk every morning!  Thanks.

Hi, your issue seems to be related to the USB ports, seems that the Keyboard is USB 2.0 and the internal system port could be lower than that, i suggest you get a HUB that is a multiple usb port adapter, or get a Dell tech to check the ports of the system. Regards

Hi iris_917,

Can you tell us the model of your Dell desktop and the model of the keyboard? If the keyboard came with the system, just say so.

Is the keyboard connected to a rear USB port, assuming it's not a laptop?

What happens if you disconnect all other USB devices, except the keyboard, before you power on?
