Keyboard & mouse dont work under XP

Keyboard & mouse dont work under XP - therefore cant reinstall under windows ie using drivers cd etc

Keyboard obviously works under DOS therefore I have started recover console  and can get into directories but dont know where/ what name of keyboard driver to overlay ( has trojan and had to delete files presuming kb and mouse 2 of them) Trojan all gone but I need to get hold of the drivers for keyboard without having to reinstall

Any ideas gratefully received.

This is a n optiplex 740 - xp prof... but I am not sure that is actually relevant as we are talking std K/B here
