I installed Kodak software on new Dell computer with WindowsXP, then connected camera and tried to send pictures to Kodak program, but nothing happened.

I installed Kodak software on  new Dell dimension 3000 and it is on the desktop and opens but camera is not listed in control panel and pictures do not download. What must I do?

Apparently the camera is not being detected.  Just having the Kodak EasyShare software installed won't guarantee that the camera will attach.

Are you using a direct Camera attachment with a USB cable or are you using the Kodak Easyshare camera dock (unit that you mount the camera on)?  If you are using the Dock, you have to press the transfer button to get it to attach and transfer files.

If it's a direct camera attachment to the PC, make sure the camera is turned on.  Some Kodak cameras have a "share" button on them and that button must be pressed to transfer pictures.

Thanks for the help and please accept my apology because the problem was that I simply had not turned on the camera.
I works fine.

That's OK.  The bottom line, it's now working.
