Lexmark Z33 printer

I have a Lexmark Z33 printer, and I run Windows XP home.
My problem is that I can not print anything, and it will not talk.
I have tried uninstalling the printer and reinstalling it.
But then I can get the printer to talk but not to print, and when I can get the printer to print it will not talk, but the thing is that I need the printer to talk so I can see how much ink I have left.
And when I take the USB port out and put it back in again, it picks the printer up and reinstalls the printer but I don’t want that to happen because then I can not get the printer to talk.
So has anyone else hade this problem, or dose any one know how to get it working again.

Thank you,

Matt

Try using the latest driver which you can download here.

I finally trashed my Lexmark Z33 after numerous problems. Lexmark tech support was useless, as expected with a low-end (free) printer. I purchased a Canon S750 and love it. I also have an HP T-45 that works flawlessly, once I downloaded the XP patch. Good Luck!

A low cost printer that talks??? Come on! Have spare cartridges on hand You will know when you run out , by the streaks and missing ink prints. .

I've got 4 ink cartridges for the Lexmark, and need to sell them. Lexmark wouldn't take them back!
