Lost my 'Start' bar

Question

I just installed a new graphics card.  Everything seems to be working fine but I lost the 'Start' bar at the bottom of the desktop.   I know that there's a 'hidden' function where you need to move the mouse cursor to the bottom to activate it, but that doesn't seem to work.   Any ideas?

Can you see the ENTIRE screen? When I bought a new monitor, I hadn't set the resolution correctly and the desktop was stretched much larger than the screen and I had to 'scroll' the desktop to move around. If this is not the case, move your mouse slowly around where the start menu was and look for the double-arrow to open the start menu up again.

What happens when you hit the Windows key? Nothing?

That is correct.   Also, I can't open 'Taskbar and Start Menu' from the Control Panel.

That was going to be my next question. Failing that, run an antivirus scan and an adware/spyware scan. Just to be sure.

Thanks for the help.   Turns out my video card supports mulitple monitors and mine was set to be the secondary instead of the primary.
