Maximum RAM for a Dimension 3100

Just wondering what the maximum RAM would be on a new Dimension 3100

http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/ go to that link. Download the scanner. It's not harmful because i used it. It'll tell you what memory kind you have, how much, how many slots you have left. etc.... hope that helps!

the RAM has to be DDRII 533Mhz, doesn't it?

For many systems, having 1 gb is the norm today unless you run applications that need more.   A entry level system such as yours should not need more than 1 gb in my opinion.  Before you think of a upgrade, tell us why you want more memory to see if you really need it or not and not just throw away some good money.
