Greetings everyone
I’ve bought Optiplex 755 PC few months ago, and its fitted with a 0GM819 Motherboard
My current system configuration is
Inter Core2Duo E4500 Conreo Socket 775 LGA @2.2GHZ
Kingston 4GB 6400 @dual channel configuration.
Nvidia GF8400GS 512MB
2 Sata HD (Seagte and WD) total of 1TB
1 TSST corp DVD +RW ts H653B SCSI CDROM Device
The system is working just perfect since I’ve bought it, and I managed to make it as a dual boot (Win XP SP3 and Linux Mandriva)
My question is what other processors can I install on this Motherboard?
Or what is the maximum speed and power of a CPU I can install on this MB?
I’ve looked but I couldn’t find a clear answer, and I would appreciate it if you help with what factors I should be looking @ 2 upgrade my CPU?

Did you get an answer to that question? I've got the same system and i would like to grade up to, if possible, quadcore or similar stuff.

Higher End Processors may require the 375Watt Power Supply instead of the 305W power supply.
Bios updates should be done BEFORE trying to update the Processor.
Core 2 Quad Q6700 is supported with 305W power supply.
