microphones

What is the best microphone/headphone to buy to use with my Insprion 5305?  I have Vista Home Prem.

Plantronics has been around for years and was originally selling headphones to the telephone companies and for commercial office use, and very reliable.  I would think that has also been brought to the PC world, although I haven't used one.
