Hi,
I don't see any reference to a DLL file in your error message. Have you installed anything that relates to this page? http://eventid.net/about.asp
Mis Dos Centavos, Darrell Helping Dell talkers here since 1997 Memory upgrade information Find the ... "How much can my system hold?" "What kind is it?" ... and other memory information.
The instructions at that site specifically warn against using an older version of that .dll file than the one designed for your operating system. Since you have posted in the Windows XP conference, I assume you are running Windows XP. The file on that site is for Windows NT and you need version 5.1.2600.0 of the file
It is a Windows system file, so you should be able to replace it on your Windows XP computer by going to Start|Run, typing
sfc /scannow (space before the /) and clicking OK. You will be prompted to insert your XP reinstallation CD.
Hey Thanks Denny,I did what you said....NEAT!! but nothing came up and no prompt, does that mean that all my dll and exe are ok? Why do i keep getting that error message in my system event viewer atleast 40 or so times a day.Everything works great on my OS.I got a new infomation message when i ran sfc /scannow.It said(when i looked it up)bad file 5.02183.1 on system event viewer.Should i just leave all this alone before i mess up my computer!!LOL......Thanks again Denny Best to you in the new year Mark
