MODEM RD02-D400 FOR WINDOWS 8

I have model RD02-D400 modem, my laptop has windows 8, the modem always answers the fax to 2 rings, my program has configured WINFAX respond to 4 rings.
The modem does not take WINFAX program settings.
With Windows 7 works well.
have a firware upgrade for the modem?

I don't know that ANY fax drivers are installed by default.

Find out how to Install Windows Fax and Scan for windows 8 first.

Then install the drivers and software for the modem in Windows Vista SP2 Compatibility mode.

the modem was updated to the new driver. Vista 64 bit

but continues to answer to 2 rings

Ring answering has to do with AT Commands.

Register S0 allows you to select the number of rings after which the modem will Auto-Answer.

For example, to instruct the modem to answer after four rings, type the following command:

ATS0=4

A more complex string would be AT&F&D0&K3&Q5S0=4

Create an Extra Initialization String in Windows Vista and Windows 7

Instructions:
  
Procedure

  1. Click Start.

     

  2. Select Control Panel.
       
     

  3. If using Windows Vista, select Classic View. If using Windows 7, select Hardware and Sound. 

     

  4. Select Device Manager. NOTE: In Windows 7, Device Manager is listed under the "Device and Printer" section.

     

  5. Click the + sign next to Modems.

     

  6. Right-click on the appropriate modem and select Properties.

     

  7. Click on the Advanced tab.

     

  8. Enter the extra initialization command:
    IMPORTANT: The majority of dial-up connection errors occur due to a mistyped initialization string.  Please take extra care to ensure the command is entered properly.
