Monitor Blue or White Cable

Took delivery of my Dell pc today and really impressed with how it looks so far. I'm reading the instructions before set up. My question is:-

Do I use the Blue or White cable to connect the monitor to the pc, one end of the blue cable is already attached to the monitor, the instructions say use either one but not both, so how do I know which one to use or has the decision been made for me.

Thanks for your help.

If your computer has a DVI video jack, use the white cable and remove the blue cable.  If it only has a jack that will accept the blue cable, only use the blue cable.  Never use both at the same time.  If you have integrated video you will only have a blue cable type of jack.

Use the white one, it digival video interface, will give you better display, if you have a DELL XPS you don't have a integrated video , so use the white one, anything else that you may need just contact me to miguelforgiven@gmail.com.
