This Springdale Driver was already on the computer with the updated version 6.14.10.4396. An auto update in the night may have fixed the issue (perhaps an xp issue.) Thank you
I had a similar problem with my monitor driver. I reinstalled Windows Vista 32-bit from the Dell Factory Image Restore on my XPS 420. After installation, the Device Manager showed a PnP monitor instead of the Dell monitor. Eventually, Windows Update offered my original Dell monitor driver as an optional download. After installing, the Device Manager showed the Dell monitor.

Hi kj41,
You need not the monitor driver but the correct video driver. This should be the correct one, unless you've added a video card to your system.

Is that a B110 or 1100 you're referring to?
Neither of those models has an AGP slot; your video card update options are limited to PCI.
