Most horrible experience

I had the most horrible computer buying experience with dell I could ever imagine. I bought $4000 high end dual core 4 gb ram dell dimension 9100. since the time i had it bought it has not performed as i had expected it to. with in the first month of buying it i had start having issues. currently I have called Dell support for more then 11 times for one or the other issue. that is practically more the 1 complain per month. I had my monitor changed 3 times mother board switched 2 twice, video card changed twice and i still continue to have issues. first it was having black lines on my screen now i cannot install most of my softwares on my machine. i have done complete format of my 250 gb hard drive more than 4 times and endless no of system recovery. there is no end to misery.

Have you tried requesting a replacement system from Dell?   You should be politely persistent about it.

Are you certain about this, it's my understanding that Dell will replace a system, that has repeated hardware replacements/failures.

I doubt that the Dell techies would volunteer to exchange it, you must be very persistent about it.

I bought a dell dimension 4700 over a year ago and was wondering why it seemed to get so hot, I bought an ati radeon x700 pro video card and that lasted 6 months before burning up. I found this article on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimension_4700 and decided to check whether my fan was the right way round. It was taking air into the case and I believe it is meant to blow air out. I then rang technical support and told them how a build error in your system was responsible for destroying my then 200 pound video card. They then put me on hold for ten minutes and eventually got back to me but then all i got was LIES, the woman told me that the fan was MEANT to be installed this way and that if it was the other way around it would damage my system. I am absolutely appalled at Dell's technical support and want my money back for the card that THEIR incompetence destroyed. If you got a new pc for the same thing I think i deserve one for the hours I've spent wondering why my PC eats video cards.
