mouse going in circles
Once in a while, while playing games, my Dell optical mouse will start spinning around. I'll straighten it out right away but it's annoying. I use a black mousepad and I keep it clean, the mouse I mean. Anybody know how to correct this?

I have had this problem for a year with my Dell optical mice. The first mouse died, and I thought maybe the replacement would work better, but it still spins wildly out of control. It does this mostly in games, and not just some games, but all of them. And it also happens on the desktop occasionally. I think it is a defective product. I have been a Dell customer for over ten years, so I would hope that Dell will make good on this, but the last time I called customer support (when the first mouse stopped working), I was treated like a computer illiterate idiot.
The bottom line is, this mouse is no good for games.
