MULTIMEDIA AUDIO CHISIS!!!

Hi. I recently reinstalled everythin, but the sound dont work. I have the 8400 and the soundcard is sound blaster audigy 2. I used the CD to install it and it found two things. I clicked on the 1st and it was the creative audigy audio processor. But it aint difitally signed. And it tells me to stop installing it otherwise it will do damage to my pc. So what shall i do. I mean, can it really be harmful to my pc even though its from the actual CD. I dont know if this will fix this multimedia controller problem. Can you please help me. Also under device manager there a yellow exclamation mark against it. What can i do to fix it. (by the way, i aint so good with computers so could you please tell me in a language i can understand! lol) Thank You.

PS, now, when i go to the cd and try an install it from there, (directly) it tells me that my sound blaster hardware is not installed?? However it was ok before?? :smileysad: So i really have no idea what is up with this stupid computer!!!

you really need to install the driver fior your sound device first that is why you have a yellow question mark in your device manager, also that is why you cannot play audio cd's as of the moment, here the installation guide. about that not digitally signed message, don't you worry coz it's just ok and safe to proceed with the installation of that driver, it's just a way of windows warning (provided that you are really using the sound driver cd that came with your system when you bought it)

Hi, sorry. I installed the sound blaster as you said to but there is still a question mark against it. Also when i troubleshoot the sound device (multimedia controller) it finds this processor thing as said above in the other post. But it asks me to find the file manually, which is no problem however it always freezes when it comes to askin me for the file 'A3a' or something like that. Ive tried it many times and it just freezes at this point. So i have to restart the computer. What now!!!
