MultiMedia keyboard : Editable mediabutton functions?

Question

Hi,

I recently lost all my files because my HDD crashed.

So when I was done installing all elementary files etc..., I installed Winamp.

I wanted to use the Media button to start up Winamp, but I got the VolumeControl screen instead....

How do I change this button's fuction?

I really want it to start up Winamp again, like it used to do :smileysad:

i am also interested in doing this as i just ordered one of these keyboards for my home PC.  at work it defualted to opening wmp and thats fine since thats all i have.  is there some sort of gui for this or maybe an inf or registry entry?  thanks.

Oh f*ck this....   I'm getting a new keyboard. The Logitech G15 gamingboard.   I'm now also having problems with the up and down arrows of my keyboard. and my driver on the CD is messed up... when i start it.. it opens the Windows Audio Settings.

actually, make sure that your defualt media player is in fact winamp.  i think you can use that utility to get the number for the key mapping and then use it to modify the registry to point to the application of your choice, but im not 100% sure on how to do that.

I've got it as default media player....And i've written a script to bind another keycombi to open winamp.... but still , i'm buying my new gear
