My machine turns on automatically

Why does this happen in the middle of the night? I encountered some hard-drive trouble a month or so and now my machine turns on in the middle of the night. How do I make this stop!!!!!!!!!!!

fishiwish, Are you placing your computer in Standby or Hibernate mode when you leave it for the night?

Check your SCHEDULED TASKS folder.  Temporarily disable those items in that folder.  Can you also reset the BIOS to default configuration, save, and exit? F.

are you connected to a small network? it might be set on network boot. it would boot up when there is a network activity. try to disconnect the network cable when you turn it off, might also be a trojan!
