The computer (Dell Vostro 220 Desktop) has been reformatted but doesn't have Wireless Network Connection:

My other machines pick up my router just fine, because they have this:

How do I solve?

Thanks.

1. Do you have a wireless adapter installed?

2. Did you install the drivers for the wireless adapter if one is installed?

I installed "Atheros Wireless 1525 WLAN Mini Card Desktops, v.8.0.0.144 Win7, A01" - Is that the adapter or a driver? Excuse my lack of tech knowledge.

If that's an adapter, where can I find the driver? Or if that's a driver, where can I find an adapter?

Always include the version of Windows in your posts.

I presume you had Wifi on this system before you reformatted which means you should have a WiFi card installed. Did you install the Atheros WiFi driver for the right version of Windows?

Did you install the chipset driver as the very first driver installed after reinstalling Windows? Without the chipset driver, some drivers may not install or may not work.
