New video drivers

I just installed the Detanator 3 driver for my video card (actually it self installed) It works great. However I have to set the screen area at 1280x1240 which is a little tough on my eyes. At any other setting the display does not fill the monitor screen. I have a Dell M 780 monitor. Any suggestions on what to do to save my eyes and have the display fill the monitor

Have you tried setting the resolution where you want it and then using the onscreen monitor controls to expand it to fill the screen?

I tried adjusting the size of the display with the monitor controls and still have a one inch black band on the right side.

I solved the display problem by playing around with the control buttons on the monitor. I now do not get eye strain and the display fills the monitor. Try it.
