No audio output device installed
Dear friends, I am new at this computer stuff. I have recently discovered that i have no sound w my pc.When I tried to check sound I recieved the message that there is no audio output device installed on my computer. It work fine, until a few days ago.I went into device manager and checked. There is no problem. I also checked with the speakers in this catergory. I was informed that there is no device installed for them. I tried to use the disk that came with my PC. It tells me there is no path. Unsure what that means. I would love to listen to my music again sometime soon. Please help. I have a Dell Dimension E521

Use the "System Restore" function and restore the PC to an earlier date when it did work. System Restore can be accessed under Accessories/System Tools.
System Restore will not delete any user data or e-mails but if you installed anything or did any updates after the restore date that will have to be reinstalled.

Dmension E521 can contain an integrated Sound Card like SIGMATEL AUDIO or can contain a PCI card ( removable ) like SOUNDBLASTER. Please confirm as which one have you got. cheers...
