No boot device available
Hello, I have recently encountered a problem with my Alienware x51 with the OS of windows 7, when I try to boot my computer up it says
"No boot device available.
Strike the F1 key to retry boot, F2 to run the setup utility"
This happened on 4/12/2013 when I got home (around 3:00) and It had been working fine when I left. (around 7:15 AM)
I had recently tried to clear a disk that had a 415 MB of data on it, and I was unsuccessful.
I turned off my computer for the day, and (like I said) when I got back this happened
In the setup utility I tried changing the sequence of what it boots, but that didn't work.
I have searched everywhere on the internet, and alienware decided that I didn't need a disk to restore it to factory settings if needed...
If anyone knows how to fix this, I would be grateful...
Note: sadly, I run a youtube channel and this is keeping me from getting content out to my subscribers, so anyone... ANYONE who can do this for me, I would be grateful

Opening the case does NOT invalidate your warranty.
Does BIOS identify the correct hard drive connected to SATA1? If BIOS isn't seeing it correctly, it's possible the cable(s) got disconnected, but more likely the drive may have failed.
You should reboot and press F12. Look for Utilities partition option on that menu and run the hard drive diagnostics. Or use the link Rajesh posted.

Does BIOS setup see the hard drive correctly, presumably attached to SATA1?
How is SATA Mode (under Advanced - Integrated Devices) set in BIOS setup?

Hi Sharktooth,
In addition to Ron, I recommend to run diagnostics on the computer.
Refer the following link to run diagnostics on the computer:

Awaiting your response!

In addition: I have found a disk for the windows setup I need, but whenever I try to go into any partition it says "Make Sure that the disk's controller is enabled in the BIOS menu" I can't find any disk's controller in the menu

Hmm... it says nothing was wrong, one of my groups tech support guys is telling me that the hard drive might be disconnected, but I'm afraid to crack the case as that would invalidate my warranty... plus, I don't think its the case that that might have happened
